Why Teaching Quaker Parrot the Turn Around Trick is So Important! > 퀘이커

I've been training this Quaker Parrot for just under 30 days and let me tell you why teaching him tricks is so important! The first trick that I taught this Monk Parakeet is the "turn around" trick. When I show the bird my finger in a turn-around motion, he turns around. I click my clicker and give him a treat.

Now the Quaker Parrot has an outlet to show me his enthusiasm. Rather than bite or scream because he wants attention, this Quaker Parrot starts turning around in place to get my attention! This is not only fun but so much more pleasant than when they revert to their more natural but more aggravating behaviors. He starts turning around in place and I respond by asking him for a behavior such as step-up so that he could get my attention and earn a treat.
