Quaker Parrot Practicing Coming Out Of Cage and Going Back Into Cage
페이지 정보

Now that my Quaker has become good at stepping onto a handheld perch, I can slowly take him out of the cage for brief periods of time. I move carefully so he doesn't get spooked and fly off the handheld perch. I gently direct him to go from the handheld perch to the Training Perch by himself. I give him a few treats to get used to spending more time on the Training Perch because eventually that's where we'll do our training exercises. Before anything can go wrong, I have him step back onto the handheld perch and slowly return him to the cage. This is an exercise I repeat often because it is practicing the two most essential things I'd want to be able to do with a parrot every day: have him come out and have him go back without trouble.
